We have only met once. I think that you're on the right track. When people bring you down know that they are only attacking the things that they have conflicted within themselves. How they choose to articulate and alleviate the emotional dishonesty is up to them, and this world is a dishonest place. You attack what you are. For example: if you are cheating- you will go out of your way to make situations up in your head about how your partner *could be cheating on you and not doing what they say.

Work on learning to love yourself entirely. Insecurities are a major issue that every human being is tested with. Confidence isn't the answer, love is. Learn to love everything about yourself. Be honest with others about your feelings. There is no good or evil, only lying. If you don't have something nice to say, don't say it. Silence is key, silence is golden.
